This desk construction is light and the table tops are made from fairly thin pressboard. However, the price does not indicate it would be made from hardwood and the reduced weight and ease of assembly make for a nice overall package. The legs feel fairly solid and working at the desk doesn't concern or distract with wobbles. Mounting a keyboard tray was tricky because the top is so thin and the metal of the under frame isn't flush to the wood. When mounted, a 3M keyboard tray does make the desktop flex a bit under use, but not so much that it is distracting. The drawer unit went together well and does feel solid. Total assembly time was about 1 hour. Attaching the metal support arms between the drawer unit and table top was really bothersome. The bolts holding the metal table top frame to the cabinets go in through the narrow space between the cabinet and table top. No way could I fit my hands in there, so I had to use an allen head socket and 36 inch extension. Overall we are pleased with the size and shape of the desk, and believe it was a decent value. Be very careful about putting anything wet on the table top. It does not seem to be covered with a water resistant vinyl skin and I would be concerned that something like a glass of ice water could lead to water damage. I might spray the top with a clear urethane sealant to play it safe.Purchased this a week ago and finally put it together a couple days ago. On mine, the 4 pegs that go on the bottom of the draws were all different sizes and caused that part of the desk to wobble. Had to put some pads on the bottom of the pegs to get it to level out.Bottom line is this desk should be 75.00 tops. Very poor construction. Parts were either flexed or warped so much that we couldn't get everything aligned and looking good.. And we tried. Assembled everything loosely and then tried to align and tighten down, and still no luck.Instructions were included but were pretty much useless and skipped several steps for the cabinet portion assembly. Also - about a month in the thing isn't holding up well to regular use. The desk it replaced was much better, it just didn't fit the new space.Wouldn't buy again.DO NOT buy this with intentions of an easy assembly. The directions are backwards. The picture on the box is misleading. This desk was the most difficult and exhausting piece of crap I’ve ever experienced. I wish Amazon would ban these sellers who don’t provide proper instructions & equipment for assembly. This is the second desk I’ve ordered from amazon in the past 2 months that came with little to NO instruction and missing pieces. I’ve got a glass top desk that I purchased previously that came with nothing to secure the glass top to the frame. So, the glass just slides around and I’m scared my brand new Apple computer is going to go crashing to the floor at any moment. Just save yourself the time & headache and buy from Walmart or StaplesWasnt easy to put together, but wasnt difficult either. The lock on the top drawer doesnt work very well (didnt expect it to). It does have a bit of a cheap feal to it, but it does look nice and works for what i wanted.I bought 3 of these and the first two where great. When setting up the last one all the coating was bubbled up and came off the top of the centre section. When I called the company they pointed back to Amazon but it's not a replacable piece of product through Amazon. When looking at the quality of this it is not good any scratch will cause the coating to just crack and come off in large sections. This product should not be sold and is like buying a wine glass to drink beer at October fest.Love Love Love it!I assembled most of the furniture in my house, and this desk is not an easy one. But it's not hard either. The manual is very clear and I have no problem following the steps. You just need to be patient and it will be done beautifully. It is not as big as I have thought though, but I can work with it. The measurement shown in description here is a little bit misleading. I'll post my measurement later.EDIT: Once assembled, the length along the side with cabinet is about 59in, and the length along the side without cabinet is about 56in.I never bother to write reviews but I'm really impressed with this desk. got it a few days ago, the instructions were easy to follow, it's a lot bigger than what I expected. Be prepare to spend a long time putting it together (took me almost 2 days to do it), if you get someone to help it would be better. The desk was mailed in 2 boxes with a lot of protective foam which it was nice because the boxes were all banged up from the delivery company, no broken pieces nor scratches, so it's good!.
