I wasn't excited about purchasing a 'work' desk for our home because I didn't want the desk to change the look or feel of our living quarters. However, this desk fits right in! This versatile desk looks professional and is functional enough for work, but looks charming enough to keep your home feeling cozy. The neutral colors make it easy to place.Desk is long but not very deep, so it may not work well for those who need lots of desk space. However, I have 2 floating monitors, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, some paperwork, and still have enough space for drinks, snacks, and cats to sit on my desk. The two drawers are great for filing and I like the small shelves on the bottom - the shelves are a great place to store routers, small printers, and office equipment. The smooth finish on the desk's surface also makes it very easy to clean. Desk is a bit heavy but installation was simple and straightforward.Very pleased with our purchase and would recommend to others. After many months of daily use, I am noticing some of the paint wearing off (namely around the legs and bottom shelves) - desk still looks good enough for me, but may not be as hardy as others.
