The low profile of the base allows the table to be pulled near enough to work from just about any type of furniture. It is more sturdy than I expected and it was no problem putting it together.I'm honestly pretty impressed with how nice this desk is. Good quality, doesnt look cheap, sturdy, and its a sit-stand desk where you can adjust the height. Perfect for working from a couch or bed! Definitely worth while.As the result of a fall, I have a spinal cord injury. I need a bedside table which will be sturdy as well as attractive in my bedroom. The table will need to hold a variety of items, as well as be able to adjust up-and-down depending on where I position it. This table did not disappoint. I am very happy with my purchase.Only took a few minutes to assemble. Perfect replacement for the rolling computer desk I'd previously used. Very sturdy and the right size for a 17.3 inch wide laptop with lots of room left over for accessories and mouse pad.Nice and modern design, easy to install, I'm very satisfied it!I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this desk. Was just what I was hoping to find. Simple, sturdy, good design. Well-made, quality components throughout. Heavy duty, yet easily moved from room to room on large, good-working casters. I like the adjustable up/down and tilt features, which have worked flawlessly with easy to use levers. It's a little high for use at our sofas, but fine for desk or dining chairs. Legs fit under sofa. The top has a good finish, which looks like new after several months of daily use. I have a large laptop, but there is still room to easily use the mouse. This has my highest recommendation to anyone wanting a sit/stand desk.This table was even better than what I expected. Usually when buying furniture online I don't assume the best quality, but this table is sturdy. So easy to put together and I love that it can be any height. Highly recommend.Assembly was super easy - 6 screws. The raise/lower function appears strong and works well - takes a fair amount of pressure to lower, but that's fine and means the base is stable. The legs are strong.But their are two problems:1) the pivot point for the the top is not very precise, so if you use the it in the direction intended, the top rattles a lot. With very little pressure on the top of the front edge, I can raise the back edge about 1/4" and it's all metal on metal so it is noisy.If you reverse the desk so the back is closest to you, it's very stable for downward pressure on the top. But that means you can't use the tilt function (which is fine, I don't need the tilt most of the time).2) The stopper/rest on top that keeps the laptop from sliding off is stuck to the top with sticky stuff... So you can't remove it easily. And if you do remove it, there is an indent slightly larger than the rest which will still be there.As I am planning to use this with a keyboard and mouse, I have to set the keyboard to one side to make room for the mouse. Because the rest doesn't go all the way across, that puts my left wrist off the rest and my right wrist on the rest - doesn't work at all. So again, I'll be using this 99% of the time with the back as the front.Also, the rest came glued slightly out of alignment to the top. While not a big issue (1/8' difference from one side to the other. It triggers what little OCD I might have.For the money, I'd say it's decent - but that low tolerance holes around the pivot pin are definitely annoying enough that I wish I'd bought something without the tilt feature, but not enough problem for me to pay shipping to return it. Maybe I can figure out something I can wedge in that will be strong enough to stop the rattle.
