I bought this chair directly from the manufacturer in April 2021. 3 weeks ago the chair suddenly bottomed out while my mother was sitting in it. She is 86 and has fragile bones. She was diagnosed with a fractured vertebra and will undergo a procedure to repair on Monday.The collapse was the sudden giving way of the chair so that it fell to its lowest point swiftly and stopped hard. We tested it several times and the problem seemed intermittent so we put it aside to deal with my Mom's medical crisis.This week my cousin examined it and said he could not identify what was wrong with it - it would sometimes bottom out (he weighs 220 lbs and my Mom weighs 180) and other times stay up. We were very careful to not touch the chair levers. He even tried attaching a clamp to keep it up. It still collapsed. Obviously this is no longer safe for anyone.I emailed the manufacturer/seller and they said they could do nothing because the chair was beyond their 30 day return window. They did say there is warranty - but offered no additional steps nor offered any kind of repair. In any event, we would not trust anything they manufacture nor any warrantied repairs at this point.
