The latch on this item is flimsy. It’s a great item for homeschooling but the latch will need some adjustmentsI loved the easel. The only thing I can suggest is that the hooks to hold the drawer closed should have been attached to the drawer itself instead of above it. The hooks fall down in the position they are now so I have to tape them up. If they were attached to the drawer they would flop down and act as handles as the drawer does not have a handle which is a real pain.Got this for my 8 year old who loves to doodle and color. Only thing we do both like is the little hinges that keep it shut. Soon as you get them opened and then try to shut it the hinges are in the way. It is a pain but overall a great buyReceived item missing hinge pin. Simple paper clip fixed it but still quality control should have caught that.I love this thing. It's decently made, and the functionality of it is incredible. I use it to read, to study, and to paint. The little drawer is perfect for holding brushes, pens, or highlighters, but is not large enough to actually hold all of your paints or pencils or whatever it is you use to make art. The drawer does not slide super well, and it could use to be sanded down a bit more and painted/stained, but what it lacks in craftmanship it more than makes up for in convenience. It has a handle, clasps to keep things shut/folded down when you want to store or move it, and the easel angle is adjustable to 4 pre-set angles. The drawer even has sections already built into it. It's very light. The holes in it do require that, if you are using a paper to paint on, that you have a backing. I usually clip my paper to some cardboard to hold it upright.I'm not craning my neck down to read books for pleasure or work, because I just rest it in my lap. It's easy to paint using this on a desk.Highly recommend, but give it a good once over to take some of the roughness out of the wood. The idea of this easel is great, but the quality is not good. Very poorly put together.I loved the idea, but it didn't work out for what I want d it for. I thought I would be able to actually use it as an easel to do the work.. it's more for display.. I use the drawer for erasers and paint tubesWas hesitant purchasing this given some of the reviews. Glad I did. Best little thing for my new paint by number hobby. Holds all the paint, brushes, a rag, and my readers. The price was awesome from Amazon. Less than $27.00. Given that awesome price I didn't expect it to be a high quality product...and I guess some may consider it not to be, but I can not find any flaws with it. Yes, the drawer was a bit sticky but nothing a bar of soap couldn't solve. Old trick, just rub it on the sides of the drawer runners that make contact with the inside of the easel. Now the drawer opens and closes so easily. Yup love it!I’m impressed with the quality of this little easel (considering the low price - $26 & change). I didn’t expect the best workmanship, after all,you get what you pay for. Still, it’s a sturdy little easel that will work perfectly for the purpose intended. The drawer does “stick” a little ‘as others have reported, but mine does this when drawer is just about to open fully (luckily for me as it will help prevent me from accidentally pulling the drawer completely out). Its small size will make it easy to transport. I’d easily recommend this to anyone looking for an economical, small, tabletop easel.I ordered this while it was still out of stock and was willing to wait for it because the idea of being able to carry my paints in my easel was really appealing. Unfortunately, the clasps they chose to close both the drawer and the easel stand are so flimsy that they won't reclose after opening them for the very first time. The construction of the supply drawer is also pretty shabby which makes it stiff and hard to open and close. Sadly, it will be going back. It's about what you would expect for the price, but I'm going to have to modify it to be big enough to hold the canvas for my paint by numbers' addiction. The clips are pretty useless and the easel portion flips open when trying to carry it- so I wouldn't recommend it for someone who needs to travel with it a bunch. But the piece that holds the easel at the different positions is pretty study and that's the main thing I was worried about. All in all, I'm glad I didn't pay more for it than what I did, but with a little upgrading, it should be perfect for my needs.Small and fits a 9x12” Pastelmat perfectly when horizontal. The construction is excellent and will probably stand up too daily use for a couple years. I like how the drawer catches dust when open and is a good place too put stray pieces of pastel or the chips that break off easily.
