The colors aren’t the same in the photo the pink the a lighter shade and the silver it close to white. In person the pink is like a dark mauve and the silver is like a greyTakes several days to lay flat on the deskOk, I wanted something that would allow for a smooth writing surface on my textured desk top, and would keep my keyboard and mouse from moving around on the desk. This meets the need perfectly. Great size, doesn’t overwhelm the desk. I got clear, from a distance it can’t be seen. It did take several days of placing books, etc. all around the edge to get rid of the curl from being shipped in a roll.This mat was the perfect fit for my WFH desk set up. Allowed me to mimic my office at work by keeping important, often used papers on my desk in sight but out of the way.So one reason not giving 5 starts is because when u unrolled the mat the edges curled up and wish when the package it they would rolled up the opposite side so the edges can curl downmatt doesn't lay flat. very curly. Does take a few days for it to lay flat from being rolled up for transportThis mat is a great deal and perfect for protecting my desktop from spills or scratches. I initially ordered the completely clear one, but there were bubbles on the smooth surface of my desk. If you have a textured desk, like natural wood, I don’t think that would be an issue but mine was super smooth. The textured clear mat is perfect though. It was easy to cut to fit, and it flattened within 48 hours with some books on the ends to help. I like that it is somewhat soft, and therefore not brittle. I don’t think pictures would be visible in detail underneath but the color and texture of the desk will show through. I also did not notice a strong smell, and am very sensitive to smells. It was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. Even came with a cute little mouse pad, which was a nice surprise cause I needed one!
